These Terms and Conditions govern the booking of consignments, freight billing, and use of the A.C. Carrier website and online payment services. By booking a consignment or making a payment through our website, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking of Consignments

• All consignments are booked against a duly filled consignment note / Lorry Receipt (LR), which forms the contract of carriage between the consignor and A.C. Carrier.
• The consignor is responsible for accurately declaring the description, weight, and value of goods booked.
• A.C. Carrier reserves the right to refuse booking of goods that are hazardous, illegal, or prohibited under applicable law.

2. Freight Charges & Payment

• Freight charges are calculated based on weight, distance, and nature of goods, and are payable either at the time of booking (advance) or on delivery, as agreed at booking.
• Online payments made through our website are processed via Paytm Payment Gateway. Charges are only considered paid once the gateway confirms a successful transaction.
• In case of a failed or duplicate payment, please refer to our Refund/Cancellation Policy.

3. Delivery

• Delivery timelines communicated at booking are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, route conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.
• Goods will be delivered to the consignee named on the consignment note, or released against valid proof of identity/authorisation.

4. Liability

• A.C. Carrier will take reasonable care of consignments in transit. Liability for loss or damage, where established to be due to our negligence, is limited to the declared value of the goods stated on the consignment note.
• We are not liable for loss or delay caused by incorrect information provided by the consignor, force majeure events, or factors outside our reasonable control.

5. Cancellations

Consignment bookings may be cancelled subject to our Refund/Cancellation Policy.

6. Website Use

• You agree to provide accurate information when booking or making payments through this website.
• A.C. Carrier reserves the right to update these terms from time to time; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Guwahati, Assam.
